Split toning practice (10 points) Due: Wednesday 11/20

Last week we learn a couple ways to split tone our images. By split toning, we choose a color for the shadows and a different color for the highlights. In this practice we will be using complimentary colors.

Complimentary colors are opposite each on the color wheel. For reference, use the link below to see adobe’s digital color wheel

Attached below are two stock photos, you will use both of them in this project. please download them onto your computer.

Follow the instructions on the worksheet provided in google classroom. We will be split toning using curves and by using the camera raw filter in Bridge. With each step make sure that you screen shot your progress. To turn in your project, you must turn in the final edits in .jpeg form and a google document with your screen shots of your project.

 Compositional Elements photoshoot edits (15 points): due thursday

Take the images that your group and narrow down to the best two for each compositional elements (Leading Lines, Perspective, and Framing). Please remember the EACH GROUP MEMBER must turn in 6 images to receive credit. As a group, decide which six images you will be turning in. Once the images are decided, edit the 6 images on your own and in your own style. On Wednesday your group will get together and discuss and compare your editing styles.


To turn in your finished images please create a contact sheet, middle gray, white font, two columns by 3 rows.
